Hello. 1. Headache and high pulse rate can be the side effects of BP medication 2. Earlier you were taking Amloz AT. ‘AT’ component of the medicine helps in lowering the heart rate also. Since that has now been changed, it can be a cause of increase in pulse rate.
Next Steps
If these symptoms persist, consider consulting the cardiologist/physician and get the medication changed
Health Tips
Keep regular record of blood pressure readings. Try to mark the readings taken during symptoms such as headache, palpitations etc.

So so important to get the blood pressure down. You did the right thing. Unfortunately some of the blood pressure tablets cause headache symptoms. This should settle with time. Can take simple paracetamol if needed for the headache. If you notice any changes with your balance or blurring of your eyesight or any new weakness on one side of your body or vomitings with the headaches You Must Attend Your Local Hospital. Get an ECG done due to your pulse being high. All the best. J G S R (online) clinic

Complete the full 3 days of Ciplar LA 40 – don’t stop it early. For the headache → Take Crocin 650 mg or Paracetamol 650 mg (1 tablet 2–3 times a day after food). It is 100% safe with all your BP medicines. Drink plenty of water (3–4 liters per day) because the chlorthalidone in CTD-T AM pulls out water and makes headaches worse. Cut down salt a little and reduce tea/coffee for 2–3 days. Check and note your BP + pulse every morning and evening (to show the doctor later). If after 3 days the headache is still very bad, or you get vomiting, severe dizziness, or blurred vision → call or visit your doctor immediately. He can stop Ciplar and give a different beta-blocker (like Nebivolol or low-dose Bisoprolol) that controls pulse without causing headache. In 90% of people, the headache from Ciplar goes away on its own in 3–7 days.

BP is controlled. Headache is likely from the new BP medicine. Continue meds, keep hydrated. If headache lasts more than 2–3 days, get the medicine changed.
