HPV vaccine is not compulsory but strongly recommended for girls as it helps protect against cervical cancer and some other HPV-related diseases. Best age is usually 9–14 years, ideally before exposure risk begins. Current commonly used vaccines provide good protection. In India, Gardasil 9 and Cervavac are commonly available options. For 9–14 years, usually 2 doses are given 6 months apart. Please discuss with your pediatrician/gynecologist regarding the most suitable vaccine and schedule.
Although it’s not legally compulsory but it’s Strongly recommended for both girls and boys.

Greetings
The HPV vaccine is not mandatory but is highly recommended for girls, typically starting between ages 9 and 14. This ideal age window offers the strongest immune response and provides protection before any potential exposure to the virus. While earlier is better, catch-up doses are often recommended and available for young adults up to age 26.Several effective vaccines are available, including Gardasil, Gardasil 9, and India's indigenous vaccine, Cervavac. Gardasil 9 is often preferred globally as it provides protection against the widest range of HPV strains
