High cholestrol
I have done my lipid profile. Total cholestrol : 247 Tri glyceride : 218 Hdl : 43.4 Ldl : 159.9 Non hdl cholestrol : 203.6 These values are high. Doctor prescribed me aztolet tablet. Is this a blood thinner. I dont have any other problem.. Is this medicine safe and Is it take for life long My height is 5.7 Weight 69 Age 39 Kindly suggest..is it safe to take this medicine for lowering cholestrol Please help

Aztolet is a combination medicine .As your cholesterol and triglycerides are high you need to take medicine and it is safe .Check your liver enzymes levels as well when you repeat the lipid profile.Diet, life style management and exercising regularly is part of management of lipid disorders . Once you manage to get the levels normal ,you may be able to maintain it without medication.
