Multidose vial are available for several vaccinations If a fresh disposable syringe and needle is used, the area is cleaned with a clean fresh cotton swab, soaked with some antiseptic solution, before and then pressed after vaccination,  there is nothing to worry.

There is no risk of HIV transmission from a hepatitis B vaccine, even if it is taken from a multi-dose vial, provided a new sterile syringe and needle were used, which you already confirmed. Here’s the medical reasoning: • HIV cannot survive in vaccine solutions or outside the body for long. • Multi-dose vials are manufactured under strict sterile conditions. • Standard vaccination practice requires a new sterile needle and syringe for each person. • HIV transmission requires direct blood-to-blood or body-fluid exposure, not through properly handled vaccines. If they used: • A new sealed syringe, and • Did not reuse needles then there is no realistic chance of HIV transmission.
Next Steps
• You do not need any emergency treatment or testing just because of this vaccination. • Continue your hepatitis B vaccine schedule as advised. • Only consider HIV testing if there was a known needle reuse or visible contamination, which you did not describe. For reassurance: • An HIV test at 4–6 weeks can be done if anxiety persists, but medically it is not required in this situation.
Health Tips
• Always check that the syringe is opened in front of you (which was done in your case). • Vaccines from camps, hospitals, or government programs are generally safe and regulated. • Avoid over-reading or assuming worst-case scenarios; this can create unnecessary stress. ⸻ You’ve described a safe vaccination scenario, and there is no evidence-based risk of HIV from what you experienced. If the anxiety continues, a simple follow-up consultation can help clarify your concerns and give you complete peace of mind.

Please don’t worry—HIV cannot spread through a vaccine when a new syringe is used, even if the vial is multi-dose. Such vaccines are safe and strictly handled. If anxiety persists or you want reassurance
