Hello , There are many causes of heel pain but most common being Plantar Fascitis & Retrocalcaneal bursitis. If the pain is more on the weight bearing surface of the foot its plantar fascitis , it requires contrast (hot & cold) therapy with some antiinflammatory drugs and footwear modifications in the form of heel inserts. If pain still continues after a mth a local steroid injection or Pprp injection will do the trick. In case of retrocalcaneal bursitis , foot wear modification with open back end of footwear is indicated with ice tepping and painkillers. Ankle x ray may be required to see for bone spurs in either of the case . A detail examination and imaging in form of x ray may be required . Do consult a orthopaedician
