Hearing loss can be acquired and genetic. Some conditions such as middle ear infection and post traumatic hearing loss are acquired and are not related to genetics. Sometimes there can be genetic defects which can cause hearing loss which needs to be evaluated. Generic analysis is required to identify pattern of transfer.
