I dont have a microwave at home. Today i tried to heat pulav i prepared yesterday, so i placed a stand inside my non stick khadai and put the tiffin on top of the stand, covered the khadai with lid and let it heat in medium temperature. But when i took the steel tiffin box ourmt and served the pulav , i got a diffirent smell, but i still consumed the food. Now when j was googling in saw that we should not pre heat non stick and when done it releases toxins it smells like plastic and can cause cancer. Since then i am very worried as i consumed the food.

Using non stick vessels on a daily basis for extended periods of time should be avoided, but an occasional use will not cause significant harm.
In your case , it may have spoiled food which you consumed accidentally. Watch out for symptoms of food poisoning.
