Hb 32nd Week 8.4
Hi my wife is 32 week pregnanat. This is our 2nd pregnancy. . My EDD is 19th April 2026 We got her CBC done today and the Hemoglobin is 8.4. . Bllood tests: A) 32nd week 8.4 B)  27th week and the Hemoglobin was 8.8 and Total RBC is 3.72. C)19th week, the Hemoglobin was 9.9 and Total RBC was 4.05. D) 6th week 10.5 From 19th week onwards she started taking Tab Lupiheme. Was not taking iron tab before 19th week due to constipation.  From 19th she started taking once a day and frkm 27th week twice a day. Taking Beetroot and other food supplements regularly. Is the current result of CBC concerning. What shall we do. Getting worried. Regards

Yes. Haemoglobin is less and concerning. Requires further testing and management.  Some people do not respond to oral iron therapy or dietary changes like beetroot consumption. Requires injections or blood transfusion based upon further testing

Oral iron alone is not sufficient at this stage, especially with poor response and constipation. She should see her obstetrician soon for injectable iron therapy (IV iron) after checking iron studies. This is important to reduce risks during delivery. Continue iron-rich diet, take iron as advised, and repeat Hb after treatment. Do not delay consultation.

The haemoglobin level is low So it indicates moderate anaemia She can take iron injection

Yes it is very less first ask your doctor to check for beta thalassemia and please take iron suppliments twice a day and increase to thrice a day
