Hair Loss and Dull limp hair
I've been noticing a change in the health of my hair since 2016. I stayed in Bangalore before moving to Delhi this year, and experienced a lot of hair fall there. In early may, 2016 I was diagnosed with Kikuchi Fujimoto after which I prescribed prednisolone. Following that, I noticed that my hair has thinned considerably and is very dull,limp and frizzy. Hair packs or change of shampoos aren't helping at all.

There are many reasons for hair fall. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin.
