Hi after 7yrs of marriage life i got pregnant through ivf on April month everything was going normal but in anamoly scan they have found single umbilical artery and fetal echo was normal.In 24th week my water broke(cervical stitches not done)and hospitalized my CRP level was fluctuating they given antibiotics to control my infection by end of 26th week i got labour and emergency c section was done.Unfortunately my survived for 18hrs in NICU (baby weight was 820 gms)and  due to lung stiffness baby passed away. Could u pls confirm what could be the reason for water breaking.In future how can we prevent this water breaking and avoid pre mature birth.

There is no straight forward method by which the causes for your complications can be guessed All that I can say is that these things don't happen in every pregnancy.

Next pregnant share your history with your obstetrician. Get tvs scan for cervical length .start taking various probiotics in diet and take good amount of antioxidants and iron in your diet. Rule out vaginal infection

That’s sad. My condolences. Some common causes for premature rupture of membranes are- twin pregnancies, vaginal infections, short cervix, excess amniotic fluid, etc. IVF pregnancies are always at high risk for numerous complications. So, don’t be so worried. Plan your pregnancy and do as your doctor advise.
