Normal sugar levels to be achieved are more stringent during pregnancy complicated by diabetes. If you are talking about 1 hour post meals, the target should be less than 140. In the same way aim for a fasting between 90 and 100. Any thing more than this will result in the developing baby to get all the excess sugar from the mother and becoming fat in the womb as a result . This can cause problems during the pregnancy and at the time of the delivery. Hence the need to have tight control during pregnancy to have positive outcome both in terms of healthy mother and a healthy baby.
