Hiii
High IGE levels indicate u have multiple allergy manifestations
That is not to worry proper treatment would stabilise the levels
Please increase diet rich in vitamin b12 as the levels are low or take supplement for the same one tab night for min of 1 month
And about the MRI part we need to know what was the report and on what medications you are
Please elaborate that
Hope it helped you
Thank you
IgE levels r high
It indicates allergy
If u don't have any symptoms u can ignore tht.
Vitamin B12 deficiency -
To rule out this further history is necessary
Kindly consult me in practo at Dr Madhushree
IgE level of 1206 is high, but by itself it only indicates that your body may be prone to allergies (such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, skin allergy, etc.). If you don’t have allergy-related symptoms, this value alone is not worrisome.
Next Steps
If you have frequent allergy symptoms (sneezing, cough, rashes, asthma), consult
1. Kindly avoid doing ige levels for a general blood test. It has no value.
2. Need to understand the kind of pain you are having and what the MRI showed to help you out. If the pain is neuropathic the treatment is different as compared to a musculoskeletal cause
Consult is required
Your age being just 35 .. first thing eat a pinch of black pepper with honey everyday i tried it on my patients their allergy went down to nothing within 2..3 months. 2nd about m/v veg diet if not properly chosen can lead to deficiency. Go to government hospital there they will give free m/v injection to replenish your deficiency. About shoulder neck pain use adjustable jelly foam pillows with cool effect , and do next excercises .try upa yoga from yourube for 1 month you will see progress in no time. Avoid unnecessary investigations since your age is less , arthritis/spondylitis is not concern here primarily
Next Steps
get neck massage using mustard oil with garlic .. you will notice much relief. if pain doesn't come down it's always better to go for physiotherapy,my father has same problem , physiotherapy helped him alot ,within 20 days his pain is almost 0 and never occures again
Health Tips
do take calcium along with m/v. use single pillow. do upa yoga.. that's all you will be fine
Your test shows high IgE (1206) and low-normal vitamin B12 (206), but other results are normal and your symptoms are not severe.
What it means
- High IgE:Often means allergies or eczema. It can also happen with some infections. If you do not have allergy symptoms (sneezing, itching, skin rashes), no need to worry right now.
- Low vitamin B12:This is just at the lower border. Eat more foods rich in B12 (like dairy, eggs, fish) or consider supplements if you are vegetarian or have symptoms like tiredness or tingling.
There is **no urgent concern** with your reports based on what you shared.
Next Steps
- Stay alert for any new allergy, skin, or infection symptoms.
- For neck and shoulder pain, since your MRI is normal, simple exercises, rest, or paracetamol usually help[13][14].
If MRI has nothing much major abnormalities still you are having neck and shoulder pain then reach out me as I can still make a diagnosis on physical examination and can assure you also. You need to take some medicines for your current report. Reach out for further assistance.
Elevated IgE: In the absence of serious/recurrent infections, an IgE of 1206 suggests an atopic tendency (e.g., allergy, asthma, dermatitis) rather than a rare immunodeficiency.
Vitamin B12 borderline: B12 at 206 is at the low end of normal and should be monitored, especially if the individual is vegeterian, elderly, or has risk factors for deficiency.
Neck and shoulder pain: There is no direct link between these lab abnormalities and new neck or shoulder pain; these pains are most often due to musculoskeletal or postural causes, though blood inflammatory markers can sometimes rise with pain or inflammation
Next Steps
Monitor and manage any allergic symptoms (runny nose, rashes, asthma); consider seeing an allergist if symptoms are significant.
Repeat vitamin B12 in a few months, consider supplementation or dietary improvement if risk factors or symptoms are present, or if the level drops below 200.
Address neck and shoulder pain per MRI findings; follow up with the treating physician/orthopedic/physiotherapist as advised.
No immediate concern from blood tests alone, but continue routine follow up.
Health Tips
If recurrent infections, severe allergic reactions, or new symptoms occur, consult a specialist for further immunology workup.
Sudden neurologic symptoms (tingling, weakness) should prompt immediate medical review for possible B12 deficiency or other causes.
For unexplained pain, ensure adequate hydration, proper posture, avoid overexertion, and pursue prescribed physical therapy if given
Hello Ma’am,
Your IgE level is quite high which usually suggests allergy tendency, while your Vitamin B12 is on the lower side and may cause weakness or pain. With a few more evaluations and proper management these issues can be controlled well, so nothing to panic.
