I ve a gap between the two front tooth of mine. Doctor has advised me to go for steel braces. How much time it will take and can I take it out for a day if I ve to go for a function

First need to be checked is how much gap is present. If it is minimal no need to get orthodontic treatment done u can get esthetic correction like composite build up or ceramic veneers done. Need to study ur tooth models and clinical checkup for planning ur treatment.
