the recovery time for a fractured metatarsal bone can vary depending on the severity of the fracture and the individual's healing process. Your mother-in-law's doctor should have provided some guidance on the appropriate rest and recovery period. Typically, it's important to avoid putting weight on the affected foot until the bone has had a chance to heal. This can take anywhere from six to twelve weeks, depending on the severity of the injury. Your mother-in-law's doctor should provide specific guidance on when she can start applying pressure and taking steps again. In the meantime, she can use crutches or a walker to help alleviate pressure on the affected foot and make movement more comfortable. And of course, she should be sure to follow any other recommendations provided by her doctor to ensure a speedy recovery. I hope this information helps, and I wish your mother-in-law a speedy recovery!
