Finasteride and isotretinoin both
I am taking finasteride from last 1 year and recently I have acne So I have visited to an dermatologist and She has prescribed isotretinoin 10 mg per day but I forget to tell that I am taking finasteride already So kindly give me clear cut answer both can be taken or not Please Don't say for online consultation only give me answer

Hello,
Finasteride works for hair and isotretinoin is mostly given for acne.
Both can sometimes interact , so monitoring your liver parameters is of paramount importance.
If you can pls stop finasteride until you complete course of isotretinoin.
And also drugs like finasteride should not be taken as over the counter drugs, that is in case you are taking it without a doctor's prescription
