Hello Doc,
My daughter is suffering from fever, stuffy nose and malaise for past 5 days. Her appetite has decreased as well. We have consulted a paediatrician who has suggested to give Paracetamol, T-minic and Nasomist nasal drops. He has advised to give Mefenamic Acid as S.O.S. if the temperature exceeds 103. Her temperature is fluctuating and ranges from 98.1 to a maximum of 103.8 (recorded twice during these days). Doctor has diagnosed it of viral etiology and has suggested to do a CBC and Malarial Parasite if the symptoms persist after 5 days. What in your opinion could be the case considering the above symptoms. How are the chances of having Flu or Thyphoid in her case?
