Fever not going Away after C section F29
My wife 29 delivered baby via C section on 23rd March and after that she was on Combiflam and Subcef Tablet for pain and after 2 days we came home,Since then she is having fever which reaches 100- 102 degrees,Along with that she had pain in breast and milk leakage was there,It is hard as well. She takes Dolo 650,it reduces but again comes back.Doctor advised to keep breast soft by pumping out milk or by feeding the baby and asked for UTI routine and it was normal. She again advised subcef tablet antibiotics and today i visited another doctor she has prescribed Fosfomycin sachet which my wife had it and asked to take Augmentin duo 1gm two times and asked for UTI routine,Culture,LFT and CBC. I am confused what shall i do?This antibiotic seems to be very strong? Fever is not going away.

Hi Post delivery usually fever in many cases is because of breast engorgement and not expressing out the excess milk. Other common causes can be urine infection. Please go to your doctor who has operated, as they will know the patient status more. Clinical examination for vaginal discharge and ultrasound can be of use. Please do not neglect postpartum fever

Please visit your primary Gynaec and get checked for wound infection as well . If everything else is fine , may be only Breast engorgement is the reason. But first rule out other causes also for prolonged fever
