Fetal renal pyelecatasis

Asked for Female, 30 Years

I am 27 weeks 4 days pregnant.during my last scan at 19 weeks I have been informed my baby's left kidney has swelling and it is known as left renal pyelecatasis and was at a value of 4.2 mm .I got my next scan done at 27 weeks the current has changed to 5.3 mm but doctor told me no need worry as this value should be less than 7 at this stage. Kindly tell Me if there is anything I need to worry about.any precautions or treatment.

There is nothing to do or worry as it is mild. Be in follow up uSG after 4 weeks get the opinion of urologist after childbirth for baby
