FETAL RENAL PELVIS PYELECTASIS
Hi, my wife is 36 weeks pregnant now & till now all scans & dual marker was okay. Now, we did 36th week Color Doppler USG & everything was okay like AFI, Weight & measurements & blood flow, however, it was noted that baby has "Fetal Renal Pelvis Pyelectasis" 7.6mm Can you please tell me if this is okay? Or any problem will be there? If the range is still okay? We are very worried.

This is mild dilatation and usually resolves but it's better you inform the pediatrician at the time of delivery for further management.

It is not OK. At 36 weeks pregnancy no diagnostic or remedial action can be taken. You have to wait for the delivery. After that sonography scan of the baby will be done and further action will be done based on the sonography report.

It looks like a mild dilatation only. After delivery, the baby will be observed for urine output and ultrasound will be done if needed. Mostly at this dilatation we don't observe any problems.

After delivery a KUB scan of the baby needs to be performed, if posterior urethral valved are present, then surgery is indicated

It's a mild dilatation of the renal pelvis so it's not a major thing at this point of time. However after the delivery of the baby get a ultrasound of the abdomen to know the prognosis.

Hello please don't get worried, it is still mild dilatation in kidney and mostly it is due to progesterone effect , it can be due to other causes also. It is not life threatening at all. Can I know your anomaly scan reports and your aneuploidy Screening?
