Femure fracture
Sir,
Mt kid(3.5 years) had severe femure fracture and doctor did hip Spica. After 5 weeks x- ray looks still it has displacement. Please advise whether surgery can be prefered now to get bone aligned.

The fracture has already formed a good amount of bone. It looks quite good, even though you may be worried. As the child is only very young, the bone will reModel as the child grows. The fracture will take 6-8 weeks to heal, then it will form a lot of bone and finally the bone will remodel. Do not worry, it will be fine.
