Feeling uneasy
I was feeling uneasy with chest pain yesterday so I took 2 antacids. It subsided and woke up feeling normal. But now around noon I feel weird again, I don't know how to describe but it feels weird! My overthinking is not helping and I need to know if I'm fine.

If you can't describe it (you said that you don't know how to describe) , it is better to consult a General Physician for a physical examination. He may pick up some signs and also ask for a few investigations to decipher your problem.

1. Acid reflux / GERD (likely) • Common cause of chest discomfort that mimics heart pain • Often responds to antacids • Can come back after meals, stress, lying down May feel like: • Weird heaviness or pressure in chest • Slight shortness of breath • Throat discomfort or bitter taste 2. Anxiety or Panic Sensation • Anxiety can magnify or mimic physical symptoms • Can cause a “weird” internal feeling, chest tightness, racing heart, unease • Especially common if you’re focused on the symptoms What would help: 1. Immediate Steps: • Sit in a calm, upright position • Take slow, deep breaths — in through nose, out through mouth • Sip room temperature water slowly • Avoid spicy or heavy meals right now • If symptoms worsen or persist, go to the nearest clinic or ER and ask for: • ECG • Blood pressure and pulse check 2. When You’re Feeling Better: • Keep a symptom diary (time, food, stress level) • Avoid lying down flat after meals • Avoid caffeine, late meals, stress where possible Many people feel this mix of reflux + anxiety + fear of heart issues. It’s real and distressing. But it’s treatable, and often not dangerous if investigated and managed properly.
