Feeling tired all the time
I feel tired most of the time. Have gained weight over the last one month. Feel depressed/anxious often. Lost interest in my favourite activities. Overthinking has become a habit. Unable to do anything productive. I have pain in my right knee. Unable to sleep properly. Not able to have a healthy relationship with my husband, and we have frequent arguments. I have a kid to look after, for whom I'm overly worried. Do i need any psychological counseling or is it normal to feel so.

Hello, You are feeling overwhelmed and it is understandable. There are times when you are feel you are doing so many things yet nothing worthwhile. However, it is okay to not be okay. Physical parameters can also directly affect your state of mind. Prioritise one thing at a time. Begin with self care. With proper medical guidance, address your knee pain concern. Some calming activities shall help. Deep breathing , yoga and appropriate sleep. You can delegate some work, it is possible for some time. The more you take care of your well being,  focus on your health, speedy healing shall take place. Irritation, anger shall subside as peace enters your mind. Counseling sessions can help you by being able to navigate your feelings in a better manner. Most importantly appreciate yourself for attending to several roles together and being at it. More power to you. Wish you great physical and mental health. You can consult for further professional guidance. Happy Healthy Living!

Well before considering psychological counselling, I would suggest you to consult your family physician to rule out conditions like hypothyroidism and other physical health issues which could be the reason for your remaining unhappy, fatigued etc. If you get diagnosed with any such health conditions, you will have to get them addressed by the doctor. It would be a good idea to go in for counselling from a psychologist after your physical health issues (if any) are resolved.

Based on the symptoms you've described—weight gain, anxiety, stress, overthinking, obsession, and knee pain—it seems that psychological counseling could be beneficial. Addressing these issues with a professional can help you develop strategies to manage anxiety, reduce stress, and improve overall mental health. Additionally, it would be wise to have your Vitamin D levels tested. Vitamin D deficiency can contribute to a variety of health issues, including mood changes, muscle weakness, and bone pain, which might be related to your knee pain. Consulting with a healthcare provider to evaluate your Vitamin D levels and overall health can provide a more comprehensive understanding of your situation. Seeking support from both a psychologist and a healthcare provider can help you address these concerns holistically.

Thank you for sharing your state .. in my understanding, normalising discomfort is very common in our culture . It will be a good idea to take a session or two to understand the root causes of the issues you are facing .. this may give you an insight into what can be done in order to give you the needed resources to face the circumstances. Addressing physical pain (knee ) is the first step towards healing. Hope this helps
