Your HbA1c is normal, this does not point toward diabetes. It’s better to get evaluated further with a proper consultation and basic tests 👍

While your HbA1c of 5.5 is within the healthy range and rules out chronic Diabetes Mellitus, your symptoms of restless, persistent thirst—specifically the 'craving' for cold, fluid-rich foods—suggest that your body is struggling with a hydration or electrolyte imbalance. In a 43-year-old, we must rule out Diabetes Insipidus (a condition unrelated to blood sugar that affects how the kidneys handle fluids), localized dehydration, or a psychological 'habitual' polydipsia. It is also possible that a lack of specific salts (Sodium/Potassium) is making plain water feel 'unsatisfying' to your system."
Next Steps
Thirst is the body's most basic alarm system; once we balance your electrolytes, the restlessness usually subsides. Please book a full session for a detailed metabolic evaluation
Health Tips
To rule out rare hormonal issues related to thirst and to discuss your daily stress/restlessness levels, please book a full consultation session via my Practo profile."
