Extreme weakness after viral fever
Hi Sir/Mam, My wife had fever for 3 to 4 days, dengue and malaria negative. Wbc decreased to 1600 but again increased to 4200 in 3 days, doctor is giving saline drips morning and evening, fever has gone but she is feeling extreme weakness, lying down in bed and not having proper food also and vomited twice today. Can you please suggest me. Is it normal to have this much weakness after viral fever and she is facing sensivity to light and sound also.

Hello.. There will be weakness after a viral fever. Have you checked her blood counts? If there is too much weakness further investigations need to be done like platelet count, pcv etc. Since she is having sensitivity to light and sounds she needs to be evaluated for a possible meningitis as well.
