Excessive hair fall

I am suffering from severe hair fall since 2 years.I used to put hot water bag on my head due to migraine&severe headache.When I felt in January that I had lost much of my hair,I stopped using it.I consulted a trichologist&he told me that my hair fell with the folicals.Is this due to the hot water bag&can I be treated?

as per my opinion i dont feel hot water bag will cause any harm of that sort. And yes it can be treated .
