Once started you should always taper while understanding that your intensity of anxiety is reduced only due to this medicine. Taking this medicine doesn't cause any undue effect on CBT sessions but only help you in understanding various tools used.

After 1 week of escitalopram 10 mg, it is generally safe to stop without a prolonged taper. To be cautious, you may reduce to 5 mg for 3–4 days and then stop. CBT can be continued independently, and short-term use is unlikely to cause withdrawal or long-term side effects. If you notice dizziness, irritability, or flu-like symptoms, consult your psychiatrist.
