Electrotherapy in knee area during preg

Asked for Female, 25 Years

Hi , I am 16 weeks currently and having this extreme nerve pain in my left leg on the outer side ,just below the knee ..I was told by orthaeopedic doc to get physiotherapy done .I had an electrotherapy session of 25 mins yesterday .Now someone told me that electrotherapy isn't safe during pregnancy .Sbould I be worried ? Would it have harmed my baby ??
