Ear itching puting finger inside. To do?

Hi doctors My baby is 20 months old weight is 11 kg. And currently he is on solid food and in morning and  sleeping time breastfeeding. My baby ear has occasionally itching I am seeing since 6-7 months. Sometimes he put finger and thumb inside ear and keep shaking and sometimes he injured his ear by putting nails. But whenever we see by puting torch . We found nothing. Clear and dry ear not any discharge or not any smell. But itching is being happened. As far as I see inside his ear there something white dry layer in both ear. So what should I do. I went to doctors . They suggest augmentin syrup and Drep C ear drops. But I think both are useless . Due to itchiness sometimes he rubs his jaws on my shoulder. And put his cheek on my shoulder for relief. No pain in ear . So what should to do
