  4. Ear infection. Or as mucus from mouth?

I have slight ear pain and tinnitus.i went to the Ent and he prescribed me certain medicined to reduce the inflamation.Today morning while spitting i noticed slight black linws in mucus.Want to know is this is normal.will any ear infection drain from ear or as mucus from mouth?

The discolouration of mucus is unlikely to be due to the ear infection. If there is a perforation in the tympanic membrane ear drops, for example, can reach the nasopharyx through the eustacian tube and then drip in the throat, but it sounds unlikely in your case. When you say ear infection, do you mean you had ear discharge or just pain?
