Ear Infection

Asked for Female, 22 Years

I have been diagnosed with ear infection. The fungal infection is behind the eardrum. After cleaning by the doctor, it appears again in 2 days .This has been happening for past 3 weeks. Till now , i have only taken combiflam, coronite, rantac and ciplox drops. Should I consult another doctor/ get the change prescription changed? What is the normal no of days it takes for the fungus to die. Will the infection spread to other body parts?

You seem to be suffering from otomycosis which is fungal infection of the ear canal. After cleaning the ear you need to use anti fungal ear drops for a week so that all the fungus even which are hidden under the skin get killed

Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required. Meanwhile you can use candibiotic ear drops three drops three times daily
