Dear Dr, My sister (age 18) suffering from ear infection from past 2years, but now a few days its paining lot with discharge of blood and puss, even sleep properly. She might be suffering from chronic infection of the middle ear known as chronic otitis media. Usually there will recurrent infections with pus coming out of the ear in this condition. Permanent treatment surgery where ear drum whole is closed which is known as tympanoplasty. Meanwhile she should avoid entry of water inside ear
