Ear drum has a hole from 6 years
1 month ago had water perforation and severe pain. Treatment given was amoxycilin and levocitrizine. Now doctor adviced tympanoplasty
But now there is no pain and no water perforation. Should i go for surgery. In case not done does it wil lead to hearing loss or any other problems in future. Audigram was done and 35% hear loss was detected.

If there is old perforation recurrent infection may occur.. treatment cures the infection.. surgery is indicated for residual perforation if not healed after conservative management..
