Healing is natural only if there is no infection so proper microscopic cleaning of any debris and examination is important

Hi Really sad to hear about the unfortunate event. Just save it from water as well as ear drops as currently I don't see any sign of infection. The redness is just the start of local healing process . The size is on a bigger side but have seen even large perforations getting healed easily after 4 weeks mostly
Next Steps
avoid any sort of ear drops as well as water
Health Tips
while taking bath keep it packed with a cotton (soak in edible oil or vaseline)

Don't put any kind of ear drops. Keep your ear dry. Because the perforation is fresh, it might take 3 weeks to few months to either completely heal or reduce its size

It takes long time for the perforation to fill , as the healing of tympanic membrane is very slow.
Next Steps
care should be taken that water doesn't enter inside the ear and avoid upper respiratory tract infection
