If its a traumatic perforation with otomycosis - very likely the edges will heal itself over sometime
However make sure you keep ur ear dry
Avoid cold food stuff
Follow up withENT doctor in next 3-4 weeks to see if if is healing or not
Hi
Really sad to hear about the unfortunate event. Just save it from water as well as ear drops as currently I don't see any sign of infection. The redness is just the start of local healing process . The size is on a bigger side but have seen even large perforations getting healed easily after 4 weeks mostly
Next Steps
avoid any sort of ear drops as well as water
Health Tips
while taking bath keep it packed with a cotton (soak in edible oil or vaseline)
Don't put any kind of ear drops. Keep your ear dry. Because the perforation is fresh, it might take 3 weeks to few months to either completely heal or reduce its size
Margins of your perforation doesn't look traumatic ; but still in case of traumatic performations no ear drops, no oil , no water in the ear it will increase the risk of infection and we have keep ear dry it will heal in 4-8 weeks consult ENT nearby, its a case of trauma get ur hearing evaluated and if hearing is normal the doctor will patch it with paper patch which will promote healing
