My father is suffering from cough from past a week , we have visited hospital doc has asked for covid test in next week's time . Can I get some home remedy for now So that he gets some peaceful sleep and some rest Before going through covid test He has no fever no fatigue only dry cough

No use of doing covid test after a week ,take symptomatic treatment,if symptoms persist ,do a online consultation with a pulmonologist for further evaluation and management
