Dilated pancreatic duct(7mm)
Hello doctor, My mother is 62 yr old diabetic for 12 yrs and had digestion issues for a long years.. earlier gerd was suspected and she was on ppi.. since two yrs she started having muscle loss but not much of weight.. Then we took a CT scan with contrast which had the following impressions: completely atrophic pancreas with fatty replacement of the pancreatic parenchyma.Dilated pancreatic duct(7mm) with large chunky calculi withing the duct in the neck/ head/uncinate region. Kindly advice the treatment plan??

Depending on site of calculi If it is purely ductal endoscopic stenting is helpful However if also present in gland requires surgery
