Both of these are used as  staple food in different part of country so long term uses of these should not cause any problem, they have good amount of fibre i.e. why as with other high fibre diet have low calories hence help in controlling weight, but you should take adequate amt of vitamins , minerals and proteins along with to avoid nutrition deficiencies...
