MBBS, MD(General medicine)
It's likely related to gastroesophageal reflux (GERD).
Few steps to minimise it are :
Avoid eating large portion size in your dinner.
Avoid late night dinner.
Try to take a walk after dinner.
Avoid spicy/oily food.
Combination of Medications (PPI with prokinetic) will help.
Little exercise will also help over a period of time.
U need to go for 24 hr PH monitoring test
U also need to stop eating spicy, oily and fatty foods for now.
Take Tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg on empty stomach daily for 1 month.. Eat something only half an hour after taking medicine
Consult for further help
Long-standing reflux can irritate the throat and mouth, causing a sour taste even if scans are normal. Regular follow-up is must be necessary. Most likely its functional dyspepsia or gerd.you need to h .pylori test and 24 hrs ph monitoring is needed.please feel free to consult me on practo for further management and evaluation.
