Hello doctor, I've been experiencing a systolic blood pressure of 126 and a diastolic blood pressure higher than 90 over the past few days. I'm currently taking 5mg of amlodipine. Should I be concerned about my diastolic blood pressure?
Thank you

Yes it's matter of concern but till how long u r on amlodipin? If recent wait.
If u r in stress, sleep problem u can add
Clonazepam 0.5 mg one at night for 3 days.
Low salt diet.
Rest.
Constantly raised diastolic BP above 90 is considered as stage 2 hypertension.Wait for a few days as you have started taking Amlodipine recently , takes a few weeks to bring the BP lower.Get an echo to determine the diastolic function.
Hypothyroidism, sedentary life style ,increased intake refined carb, sugary drinks , history of alcoholism ,chronic stress can cause raised diastolic bp ..
