I have hospital anxiety too in hospital my bp goes 130-140/ 90 and pulse also increases to 115-120bpm. I started checking in house when iam little relaxed my bp comes 108-118/75-88 . Previously when I check at home my diastolic is below 80 but now don't do to anxiety or lack of sleep it increased.Iam unable to sleep due to anxiety.seeing little high diastolic value makes me even more anxiety while bp checking .What should I do for this doctor please tell me.should I consult doctor for my anxiety or use bp medicine for 75-88 diastolic pressure

Your blood pressure and pulse changes are due to anxiety and fear related to surgery and hospitals, not due to true BP disease. This is called anxiety-related / white-coat hypertension. Your home readings (108–118 / 75–88) are normal, and a diastolic up to 88 during stress or poor sleep is not dangerous. You do NOT need BP medicine. Treating anxiety is the correct approach.
Next Steps
• Consult a doctor for anxiety, not for BP medication • Work on sleep improvement (very important before surgery) • Reduce BP checking to once daily or every 2–3 days • Ignore BP readings taken during panic or hospital visits • Inform your surgeon/anesthetist about anxiety — this is very common and manageable
Health Tips
• Sit quietly for 5 minutes before BP checking • Take only one reading, do not repeat • Practice slow breathing when anxiety starts • Avoid caffeine and late-night screen use • Remind yourself: anxiety raises numbers, not damage the heart
