My husband has diabetes. Is there a risk for my 5 year old son? He is very thin (14 kg) but very active his birth weight was 3 kg.
P.S-He had a urine test last year.there was NIL glucose in his urine.

Yes having parents or siblings with diabetes increases one's risk of developing diabetes . But your son is too young to think of it. It's good he is lean and active. Obesity and sedentary lifestyle is associated with diabetes in all age groups.
