Diabetes in Toddler
My 2year old Daughter is suffering from diabetes. She is an active toddler,diabetes diagnosed 1 months before when she was having vaginal infection and excess hunger and thirst. Now she is on insulin 3 units long acting and 2 units novorapid three times a day. But still her levels fluctuates too much sometimes it comes 66 and sometimes it is 280 , so plz advice medications . We are giving her low carb foods as there were also ketones in Urine.

Fluctuations are expected in the child. She being a child her activity levelsband diet would vary and there would be fluctuations. We need to monitor her sugars daily and try to avoid hypos and very high levels. 100 to 250 should be acceptable for her age.
