Diabetes concern
My mother has diabetes since 7 years.. Doctor has prescribed her tenegliptin 20 mg in morning befor breakfast, glicazide extended release 60 mg in lunch, metformin 500 mg and pioglitazon 15 mg after food. In addition to all voglibose 0.2 mg before each meal, problem is she forgets to take voglibose before eating meal  skip this from last 15 days.. Last day her fasting blood sugar is 140 and pp sugar is 209..and she is not going outside to consult doctor coz of corona fear.. Plz help us and advice right

Hi -If she forgets before food she can take with food or immediately after that Voglibose is for her post lunch sugar control Thats why her post lunch sugar is high Let her take voglibose regularly to control the post lunch sugar -Also the way of testing sugar is also important - And how is her diet control? Diet control is most important How is her physical activity? Body weight?

Considering her age.. if she has no other complications she can maintain that... Voglibose will help reduce post meal sugars...have it twice daily , if she is comfortable

Get her investigation Hba1c done. Give proper diabetic diet , the above range u have mention fasting was ok , Post meal is high. anyways after  meal sugar level gets rise little bit , thats y after medication its under control . And yes she can continue her tab teneligliptin .
