I would like to know if I am suffering from depression. I seem to be having suicidal thoughts since 2012 but it wasn't severe back then. This year is one of the hardest years i ever have to endure. I can't seem to find it in myself to be happy, even though I am really successful at my work, and excel at other things. Everyday is hard. I also have a very low self esteem. I can't also handle big problems, if I do, I couldn't sleep. I want to end the pain and I feel like ending my life is the only solution but I don't want to hurt other people. What should i do

Loss of interest, decreased concentration and attention, feeling low and disturbed sleep or appetite are some of the signs of depression. Consult a psychiatrist who will assess you in detail. If you are feeling suicidal or hopeless, seek professional help immediately.
