I understand your concern. Depression should improve with 6-9 months of adequate treatment. Information regarding your sleep, hunger, energy levels and concentration at whatever you do would be more helpful to decide on the severity of your condition at present. Depression is treatable. Medicines usually takes around two to three weeks to start exerting effect and you can expect recovery in 1 or 2 months. But treatment needs to be continued for long-term.
