Ocd is a mental illness that usually requires higher doses of antidepressants for longer duration of time. It is normal to not have 100% remission in 2 months. All it means is that you perhaps require higher doses and/ or CBT or ERP additionally. Another alternative if money isn’t an issue, is to consider deep TMS therapy with your medications. The evidence base for combining the two is better than each option on its own.
Whilst obsessive thoughts of death of loved ones can be extremely difficult, pls know that this is treatable and you needn’t suffer in silence or for long. Most people with obsessive thoughts feel embarrassed to tell anyone as they themselves know how ridiculous they sound. Again, that’s part of the problem. Don’t feel afraid. It’s not your fault you’re having these thoughts.
Next Steps
Pls see your psychiatrist
