Next Steps
Go to a physiotherapist.. Ultrasonic therapy +wax therapy +some strengthening exercises for almost 3-4 weeks will be helpful for sure... If getting no relief, steroid injections are needed.

At home.. Rest +cols pack+apply some painkiller gel with thumb spica (a brace).. No Forceful movements by the thumb like gripping /cutting something.
