Cow milk for 1.25 year old kid
My son is 1 year 3 months old and he likes to drink cow milk. We are breast feeding him and giving him full cream cow milk also and he eats almost everything we eat, except spice and chilly. - is it ok for him to have milk on this age? - how much milk is fine for him? - does milk causes stool tightness, sometime his stool comes out tight and with little blood - does him having breastfeed and cow milk both causes any conflict?

Healthy evening, It is safe through, to give cows milk to children after there 1 years old . This is because the fat in whole milk is needed for your child’s developing brain. Other than add in diet eggs, fruits, fish , oatmeal, beans, sweet potatoes, vegetables, dairy, whole grains add in diet .

Yes it’s ok to give cow milk post 1yr of age , about 300-400ml a day , 2-3 servings depending upon the child’s appetite. Include and introduce solid food too , vegetables, fruits and pulses . The baby can eat whatever home cooked meals that you are eating . For hard stools make sure he is drinking enough water, and eating vegetables and fruits too. If problem persists you can take an appointment
