Continuous fever
Continuous fever for 10 days. We went to the hospital and got an antibiotic for trips. Fever is 102F again. What is the reason for this?? What to do?? Which doctor should be consulted.???

If fever is continuously there for 10 days it could be due to various reasons . Is it associated with any other symptoms like cough, nausea, vomiting, loose motion, abdominal pain, body ache , itching, etc. Any of the above mentioned symptoms could lead to many different diagnosis. You need to do fever profile test. It could be viral fever , or enteric fever or dengue fever or many other type of fever . For that you need to do few tests to confirm and select the best route of management.

Do the following tests: CBC, Malari MP kit, Dengue Ns1, IgM, Typhoid - widal test, Urine RE & ME. After these tests report to Any general physician or medicine consultant for further management.

Hello , Visit a general phisician sir . If u are having fever for around 10 days it can be because of various resons . Need more information for proper diagnosis . Do you have any other symptoms, any rash , difficulty breathing ? Any previous illness ? Are u taking any medications previously ?

Have a few blood investigations sir , for a proper diagnosis . Starting with fever profile that is thyroid , psmp , ns1 and CBC , LFT , RFT

Get a Complete Blood Count (CBC) test, Blood Culture, and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR),Fever profile,Dengue panel, Complete Urine examination test done to diagnose underlying causes of prolonged fever,and consult General physician for further treatment.
