Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside. So,unless accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness, just give paracetamol every4 hours if required. If not improving in 3-4 days or appearance of additional symptoms, consult your paediatrician.
