Constant fever and body ache

Asked for Female, 26 Years

I have been suffering from mild fever for past 5 days along with bodyache, fatigue and heavy eyes in the morning. I went to a physician and he prescribed 3 days dose. But even after the medication is over I am not feeling well. Yesterday I had fever which was higher than previous ones and I want to sleep whenever there is fever or muscular pain. I am also discharging light yellow colored urine which I guess because of medicines. So do i need to go for a blood test?

Hi, You should get few investigations done. Complete blood count, Dengue NS1 antigen and IgM antibody, malaria antigen test and blood culture and liver function tests. You should take plenty of oral fluids ORS and soft diet. Tab. Paracetamol 500mg thrice daily. Cap. Bevon once daily. You also need antibiotics which can be started based on your reports.
